Hair tips for fall and winter

We protect our skin from cold winter weather by wearing ear muffs, gloves, coats and scarves, but a lot of us forget about our hair, our hair need to be protected as well during these next cold months.low temperatures and low humidity are hard on our hair.
cold weather can cause dry hair, split ends and dull lifeless hair as well.

  • Your shampoo and conditioner:
  • you should be using moisturizing shampoo and conditioners during the rough winter months.
  • Try to avoid shampooing everyday to let the natural oils lubricate your hair, i wash 2x a week.
  • co washing is a great thing to do at least once a week.

  • Protection from winter weather:
  • Winter time can be fun,but windy days can snap your hair causing split ends.
  • Control your hair by rocking a pony tail or a bun, the wind makes hair very susceptible to breakage.
  • protect your hair by wearing hats, keeping your hair warm, and staying out of the wind for prolonged periods of time.

  • On going treatments:
  • At least once a week take time out to give your hair a special deep conditioning, use your favorite deep moisturizing treatment to restore the moisture that is being robbed by dry air. also try doing a hot oil treatment pick your favorite oil and let it work it’s magic.

Remember these Tips

Don’t go outside in the winter time with wet hair. If you go outside in the cold weather with wet hair, you risk the possibility of your hair freezing, which leaves it prone to breaking and getting damaged.

Use hair tools, such as ionic hair dryers and ceramic plated straighteners that will lock in the moisture in your hair instead of stripping it. The winter takes enough moisture out of your hair and you don’t need your styling tools to take even more. The less moisture in your hair, the drier and more damaged it will be.

Rock a hat or wear your hair up during winter time.
Try doing updos or sleek chignons in the winter, this will to help protect
your hair from damaged.

Invest in a humidifier, Heaters take moisture out of the air.
Skin needs about 30 percent humidity in the air to stay moisturized.
humidifiers are the best thing, as soon as it gets cold
i bust mine out the closet, it benefits your hair as well.

i hope everyone has a great week!
i will be doing another video sometime this week,
and i will be hosting a BTR show on Thursday
the topic is about folks who are chasing their 15mins of fame
so please come to this show as well.
