Ellen Suetholz Bradley

Ellen Bradley (née Suetholz) is a modern woman of strong values, character, and determination. Born and raised in northern Kentucky, Ellen was a ranked tennis player at a young age and involved in a number of activities to serve the community during her upbringing. She attended Villanova University for undergraduate studies and spent a semester in Chile as well as active involvement in the university’s charitable organizations. During her undergraduate studies at Villanova, she met her future husband Michael Bradley. Even with one year of college eligibility remaining, Bradley left school to go to the NBA in 2001 and was selected as the 17th pick in the 1st round of the NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors. Following graduation from Villanova, where Michael was an All-American, Ellen and Michael married and she moved to support his 2002-3 season in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. clip_image001[6]

The pair toured the United States and Europe for the following years while Michael played in the NBA for a number of teams including the Toronto Raptors, the Atlanta Hawks, and the Philadelphia 76ers. In 2006, he signed with Bruesa GBC in the Spanish ACB and played for teams in Germany and Lithuania, furthering his reputation as a relentless and skilled player. During this time of travel, Ellen was instrumental in starting the Michael Bradley Foundation to help underprivileged children find educational opportunities.clip_image002[6]

Ellen and Michael have three daughters: Taylor Rose, Kya Melat, and Shae. In 2007, while Ellen was pregnant with her second child Shae, she and Michael traveled to Addis Abba, Ethiopia to adopt Kya from an orphanage and brought her to raise on their farm in Northern Kentucky. clip_image002[8]

In the past years, the family settled in States to give their three daughters a stable upbringing and Michael retired from his successful seven-year career to found Bradley Sports Management (http://www.bradleysportsmanagement.com/). Ellen herself has opened a yoga studio committed to ethical, compassionate, and environmentally conscious living. Moksha Yoga (www.mokshayoganky.com/) is a member of a group of independent hot yoga studios with these goals which strive to communicate that the benefits of yoga are limitless and accessible to all. Moksha Yoga is a “Zero Footprint” organization (www.zerofootprint.com) that began with the vision of two individuals and has since grown into a worldwide community with classes in Hong Kong, Taipai, England, Trinidad, Singapore, Thailand and across Canada.

The future has yet to be written for this family, but it is certain it will be filled with success, happiness, and good karma.
